About

hyypr (tm) links search and knowledge management. It provides the next steps after search results are returned.

More precisely, hyypr moves digital information into a knowledge framework -- based on a cognitive metaphor -- where memories, conversations, and reflections all act on thoughts to produce intelligent answers to your questions.

Who is it for?

hyypr is for the knowledge user who wants to preserve, organize, and search content from blogs, email, documents, and the web -- as well as reflections on these -- and optionally make this knowledge available to a team, the public, or both.

hyypr is also for content producers, who now have a robust means for monetizing content. For more information on this answer to the problem of content, read more.

How it works

hyypr does a preliminary analysis of your search results when you click the "Knowledge Builder" button. The results you've chosen are recombined into an analysis. You can build knowledge from any search engine's results without having to register.

However, if you wish to preserve your results as research, you create your own, private hyyprspace, and give it a name. You can then add memories in several ways:

  • send (or copy) emails to the name you selected for your space,
  • "reflect" on any existing memory in your space,
  • subscribe to rss feeds
  • use a web form to directly add new memories

hyypr catalogues these. We call these "memories". You can then reflect on these memories, or add other people's memories (their hyyprspaces) to your own.

As you reflect on the memories in your hyyprspace and add ratings, the searches become ever more powerful. Where multiple people are members of a hyyprspace, the authors are rated as well based on the ratings of their original memory.

Research

As you search and add results into your space, you may also specify research for the content. You can rearrange the research, add, and print to a Microsoft Word document. In addition you can specify the logical relationships between the content pieces, and view a logical map of this structure.

Adding other hyyprspaces

You can add other people's hyyprspaces (memories) by subscribing to them. Sometimes the owner of the hyyprspace will charge you a subscription fee. If that person does, 10% of the fee goes to hyyprspace to maintain its operations, and 10% goes to charity.

You can also offer your hyyprspace so that others may subscribe to it. You set the fees. Content owners and users share in revenues of hyypr based on a number of criteria. See shared revenue for details.

Referring others through the Build Knowledge link

You can earn revenue from "Build Knowledge" referrals to hyypr. When a user clicks on a "Build Knowledge" link, you send to us a search querystring and, optionally, text to create content in hyypr. If the user registers with us in the same session then we will credit their hyyprspace to your hyyprspace, and you will there forward earn a percentage of their advertising revenues.

Once you set up your hyyprspace, go to the "manage" tab and select "HyyprSpace". There you can find a code generator for the link. [see referrals for further details]
